A Thousand Ways

VISUAL IDENTITY, MARKETING MATERIALS AND DESIGN TOOLKIT

I collaborated with 600 Highwaymen to create a visual identity and digital collateral for the world tour of their performance series A Thousand Ways.

A Thousand Ways doesn’t have an audience or actors in the traditional sense: the people experiencing/creating the performance are different each time. Our challenge was to create press images that allowed space for all the permutations the performance can take. My task was to capture the weight and mystery of the performance without depicting any of the specifics. I created a set of illustrations showing objects that hold meaning but are encountered out of context, and an expanded color palette to give each theater their own capsule identity. I also made a user manual for the design system in google slides that the team used as guidelines to create additional assets as they extended the tour and added performances.
